How to join the Society? Indian Society for Prehistoric and Quaternary Studies only has Life Membership. There is not Institutional Membership.
Life Membership is open to all those actively engaged in Prehistoric and Quaternary research. For getting the membership the procedure is: Step1: Apply on the prescribed form- print the prescribed form, sign it, attach two I-cad size photographs and send it physically by post. Electronic submission or scanned copies of the form will not be accepted. Step 2: After the membership is accepted by the Executive Committee, the Assistant Secretary will inform by e-mail to pay the amount. The amount is to be paid by DD only. Cheques and electronic payments are not accepted. Generally the meetings of the Executive Committee take place after 3-4 months. From 1st April 2023 the Life Membership Fees are: India Rs. 10000/- South Asia other than India Rs. 15000/- Other Countries – US $ 1000 (equivalent Indian Rupees). Members will pay the amount ONLY AFTER membership is accepted by the Executive Committee. Download Membership Application Form Updating of Information All the life members were approached four times in the past four years and were requested to send their updated information along with two photographs. A large number of Life Members have not yet sent their information in prescribed format. Such members are once again requested to send the required as early as possible.
